This Privacy Policy explains how Vicente Ramirez ("WagWise AI", "we", "us"), operating as a sole proprietor, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use wagwiseai.com and related services (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address (used for passwordless sign-in).
- Dog profile & quiz answers: your dog's name, age, breed, behavior issues, and goals.
- AI Coach usage: the chat messages you send to the AI Coach and our responses, plus a question counter for plan limits.
- Subscription & purchase data: your plan (Starter or Pro), purchase status, and Paddle transaction/customer identifiers returned to us by Paddle.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and debugging.
We do not collect or store your payment card details. All payments are processed by Paddle (see below).
2. How we use your data and legal basis
- To provide the Service (generate your personalized plan, run AI Coach, manage access to paid features) — legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To process payments and grant access — legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
- To secure the Service (prevent fraud and abuse, enforce plan limits) — legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To respond to support requests — legal basis: legitimate interests and performance of a contract.
- To comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations — legal basis: legal obligation.
3. Payments and Paddle (Merchant of Record)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to billing and handles refunds. When you purchase a plan, payment information (card details, billing address, tax information) is collected and processed directly by Paddle under Paddle's Privacy Notice. Paddle shares limited information with us (such as your email, plan, and a transaction ID) so we can grant you access to the product you bought.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Paddle — payments, subscription management, tax, invoicing (Merchant of Record).
- Hosting & infrastructure providers that store our database, authentication, and serverless functions on our behalf.
- AI model providers that process your AI Coach messages to generate responses.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your account, dog profile, and AI Coach history for as long as your account is active so you can return to your plan. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize this data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records (e.g., purchase and tax records) to comply with legal obligations — typically up to 7 years.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing us at support@wagwiseai.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect your personal data.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
